1 <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />REGULAR MEETING STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA ITEM 2C <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Hannah Lynch, Finance Director <br />MEETING DATE: December 11, 2023 <br />TOPIC: Amending the Interfund Loan for Fire Apparatus <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br />______________________________________________________________________________ <br />BACKGROUND <br />On September 12, 2022, the City contracted with Custom Fire to purchase two pumper tanker <br />fire trucks in the amount of $2,262,000. The City Council approved financing the purchase <br />through an interfund loan with Resolution No. 22-103. <br />During the 2024 budget process, the City Council elected to use $229,294 in Public Safety Aid <br />towards the purchase of the two fire trucks. The use of those aid dollars, in turn, decreases the <br />original interfund loan approved. <br />The attached resolution amends the original interfund loan from $2,262,000 to $2,032,706 to <br />reflect the use of Public Safety Aid dollars. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends approving Resolution No. 23-133, Amending the Interfund Loan for Fire <br />Apparatus. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />Resolution No. 23-133 <br />360
