CITY COUNCIL <br />REGULAR MEETING STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA ITEM 3A <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Meg Sawyer, Human Resources and Communications Manager <br />MEETING DATE: December 11, 2023 <br />TOPIC: Consider Appointment of Utilities Maintenance Worker <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br />_____________________________________________________________________________ <br />INTRODUCTION <br />The Council is being asked to approve the appointment of Austin Mooney to the Utilities <br />Maintenance Worker position within the Public Works department. <br />BACKGROUND <br />At this time staff has completed the recruitment process, provided a conditional offer, and is <br />recommending the approval of Austin Mooney for the position. <br />Mooney currently works for the City of Lino Lakes as a Seasonal Maintenance Worker. <br />The hourly rate of pay would be $28.81, which is Starting Step of the current 6 step wage <br />schedule. <br />With the Council’s approval, Mooney would start in the position of Utilities Maintenance <br />Worker on December 13, 2023. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Please approve the appointment of Austin Mooney for the Utilities Maintenance Worker <br />position. <br />370
