5 <br />•Are there other locations on site the court could be constructed? <br />•Against court due to location and noise concerns <br />During the public hearing, residents had the following general comments: <br />North Lot Line Fence <br />•Residents at 268 Rohavic Lane, 283 Hammerly Court, 298 Rohavic, 263 Hammerly Court, <br />258 Rohavic Lane did not want the fence installed. <br />•Petition signed by 12 residents along Hammerly Court opposing the fence was read. <br />•General consensus to not require the fence with condition that additional landscaping is <br />added. <br />•On November 14, 2023, staff received an email from 298 Rohavic Lane suggesting a row <br />of arborvitaes be planted along their lot line. Staff suggests Lyngblomsten reach out to <br />the property owner prior to submitting a revised landscape plan. <br />Pickleball Court <br />•Residents at 255 Ash Street, 255 Woodridge Lane, and 692 County Road J West do not <br />want the pickleball court due to location and noise concerns. <br />•268 Hammerly Court wants court. <br />Work Session <br />At the December 4, 2023 Work Session, Council supported omitting the required fence along <br />the north lot line. The Council also supported construction of the pickleball court. Resolution <br />No. 23-126 reflects these changes but does not place any specific conditions on construction of <br />the pickleball court. If conditions are requested by the Council, they shall be included in the <br />motion to approve the resolution. The resolution will then be revised to include the conditions. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />The Planning & Zoning Board voted 7-0 to not require fence along the north lot line with the <br />condition that the landscape plan be revised by a landscape architect and to not allow <br />construction of the pickleball court. <br />At the December 4, 2023 Work Session, Council supported omitting the required fence along <br />the north lot line. The Council also supported construction of the pickleball court. <br />Staff is requesting Council consideration of Resolution No. 23-126. <br />411
