CITY OF LINO LAKES <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 23-127 <br /> APPROVING EXTENSION OF ANOKA COUNTY REGIONAL ECONOMIC <br /> DEVELOPMENT MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Anoka, Connexus Energy, Metro North Chamber of <br /> Commerce, and Participating Municipalities of Anoka County signed a Memorandum of <br /> Understanding (MOU) for the purpose of developing and implementing an economic <br /> development action plan; and <br /> WHEREAS, the original 5-year term of the 2019 Memorandum of Understanding will <br /> expire on January 10, 2024, or upon the determination by the Executive Committee that the Final <br /> Action Plan had been fully implemented. <br /> WHEREAS, the parties are engaged in active strategic planning efforts with multiple <br /> studies and projects in process; and <br /> WHEREAS, the parties find that the economic development purposes served by the 2019 <br /> Memorandum of Understanding warrant extending the 2019 Memorandum of Understanding <br /> for an additional one-year period. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Lino Lakes, Minnesota that the <br /> extension of the MOU is hereby approved and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized <br /> to execute the agreement on behalf of the City. <br /> Adopted by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 11th day of December, 2023. <br /> <71 /i4tl-n <br /> Rob Rafferty, Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> Jolleen Chaika, City Clerk <br />
