1 <br />CITY COUNCIL REGULAR <br />MEETING STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA ITEM 3B <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Katie Larsen, City Planner <br />MEETING DATE: January 22, 2024 <br />TOPIC: Consider 1st Reading of Ordinance No. 03-24, Zoning <br />Ordinance Text Amendment-Renumeration and <br />Codification <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br />______________________________________________________________________________ <br />INTRODUCTION <br />The City is renumbering and codifying the zoning ordinance. <br />BACKGROUND <br />Ordinance No. 08-22 amending City Code Chapter 1007: Zoning Code was adopted in <br />November 2022 and went into effect in January 2023. The City is incorporating the zoning code <br />into the City’s online version Code of Ordinances published by American Legal Publishing. As <br />part of the codification and to make the code easier to read, some section numbers of the <br />zoning code are being renumbered. The content of the zoning code is not changing. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />The Planning & Zoning Board held a public hearing on January 10, 2024. There were no public <br />comments. The Board voted 7-0 in favor of the proposed ordinance amendments. <br />Staff recommends approval of the 1st reading of Ordinance No. 03-24. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />1.Ordinance No. 03-24 <br />78
