LINO LAKES CITY COUNCIL <br /> REGULAR MEETING <br /> MINUTES <br /> DATE: January 22, 2024 <br /> TIME STARTED: 6:30 PM <br /> TIME ENDED: 6:53 PM <br /> MEMBERS PRESENT: Councilmembers, Lyden,Stoesz, Ruhland,Cavegn, Mayor Rafferty <br /> Staff members present: City Administrator Sarah Cotton; Director of Public Safety John Swenson; <br /> Community Development Director Michael Grochala; City Planner Katie Larsen; City Engineer <br /> Diane Hankee; City Clerk Jolleen Chaika. <br /> The meeting was called to order by Mayor Rafferty at 6:30 PM. <br /> PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> A representative of Mediation & Restorative Services, a non-profit based out of Blaine, invited <br /> Council and the community to attend their 2024 annual summit: Rebuilding Community: <br /> Developing Alternative Ways to Resolve Conflict. A flyer for the event was provided to the City <br /> Clerk and has been attached to these minutes. <br /> Christopher Stowe, 426 Pine Street. Mr. Stowe commented that the City, as the biggest business <br /> in the area, needs to work to keep costs down and pointed to expenses related to the joint project <br /> with Anoka County for a roundabout on Sunset. He added that the City is blowing through fire <br /> budgets. Mr. Stowe finished by remarking that he would like to see City Council vote to keep the <br /> historic Minnesota state flag. <br /> 1.
