CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA ITEM 6A <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Diane Hankee, City Engineer <br />MEETING DATE: January 22, 2018 <br />TOPIC: Public Hearing: West Shadow Lake Area Municipal Utility <br />Extension <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br />INTRODUCTION <br />The City Council is holding the Public Hearing on Improvements for the West Shadow Lake <br />Area Municipal Utility Extension. <br />Background <br />On December 11, 2018 the Council accepted the Amended Feasibility Report and called the <br />Public Hearing for the West Shadow Lake Area Municipal Utility Extension. The Amended <br />Feasibility Report includes the scope of proposed improvements, a unit price cost estimate, a <br />preliminary assessment roll, and assessment analysis. <br />Staff will present the proposed West Shadow Lake Area Municipal Utility Extension project. <br />Council will then open the Public Hearing on Improvements and receive comments from the <br />public. After the Public Hearing there is a 60 day period where a petition may be filed, and the <br />Council may take no action on the project. The 60 day period ends on March 23, 2018. The <br />City staff are planning on providing a petition template. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Open the Public Hearing on Improvements for the West Shadow Lake Area Municipal Utility <br />Extension. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />1.
