CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 18-18 <br /> <br />APPOINTING REPRESENTATIVE TO THE <br />WATERSHED BASED FUNDING WORK GROUP <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the State has initiated a new Watershed Based Funding Pilot under Laws of Minnesota <br />2017, Chapter 91, Article 2, Section 7 (a); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes, Minnesota may be an eligible recipient of funding; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the funding may be used to implement activities in State-approved, locally adopted <br />comprehensive watershed management plans developed under Minnesota statutes 103B.101, subd. 14 <br />or 103B.801 (One Watershed One Plan), watershed management plans required under 103B.231 (metro <br />watershed management organization and watershed district plans), or county groundwater plans under <br />103B.255 and have a primary benefit towards water quality; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, county-wide collaborative meetings of eligible funding entities are planned between <br />January and July 2018 to develop a work plan for funding implementation; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, participation in a county-wide collaborative effort of eligible funding entities requires the <br />City of Lino Lakes to assign a representative with authority to represent the position of Lino Lakes <br />through discussions and decision-making; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes wishes to designate a representative to participate in this process; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LINO <br />LAKES, MINNESOTA, selects Michael Grochala, Community Development Director to represent the <br />City of Lino Lakes on the above-reference matters; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, in the absence of the representative named above, that person may <br />assign their duties and authorities to an alternate of their choosing. <br /> <br />Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 26th day of February, 2018. <br /> <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member <br />_____________and was duly seconded by Council Member _____________ and upon vote being <br />taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />The following voted against same: <br /> <br />_____________________ <br />Jeff Reinert, Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />________________________ <br />Julianne Bartell, City Clerk
