Mixed Use Land Use Classification <br />•Each Mixed Use Area is unique <br />•The Draft 2040 Comprehensive Plan expands the description of each mixed <br />use area to describe what the City expects <br />•It may mean a mix of land uses in the district/development (different <br />residential types or a mix of commercial and residential) <br />•It may mean a mix of land uses in a single structure (such as commercial and <br />residential) <br />•May be horizontal or vertical mixed use <br />•Helps the City meet its affordable housing goals (8+ units per acre) <br />•Our plan is designed for flexibility <br />•PUDs are negotiated zoning districts that give the Council a very high level of <br />discretion when reviewing proposals <br />•The Council has limited discretion under standard zoning –if it complies with the <br />ordinance standards the Council must approve
