The sanitary sewer main and service laterals will be replaced along
LaMotte Drive; sewer rehabilitation consisting of short-liners and manhole repairs will be
completed on LaMotte Circle.

As a part of the LaMotte area project, the City considered extending municipal water service to the
area. In following the process prescribed by the City’s Charter, a public hearing was held on
January 22, 2018. The City’s Charter requires a period of 60-days to elapse after the public
hearing before any further action can be taken by Council. Within the 60-day period, an adequate
certified petition was received by the City against a public improvement for the municipal water
service improvements.

The proposed municipal water service improvements have been removed from the project. For
public safety, the project does include a short section of trunk watermain along LaMotte Drive to
the neighborhood park to provide improved fire protection to the neighborhood.
