1 <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA ITEM 1B <br /> <br /> <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Katie Larsen, City Planner <br /> <br />MEETING DATE: April 9, 2018 <br /> <br />TOPIC: Consider Resolution No. 18-37 Extension of Time for <br />Recording the Final Plat of SS Properties Addition <br /> <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br /> <br /> <br />INTRODUCTION <br /> <br />The applicants, Scott and Shelly Carlson, are requesting a 90 day extension for recording the <br />final plat of SS Properties Addition. This is in relation to the construction of a new All Seasons <br />Rental building at 7932 Lake Drive. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />On January 22, 2018, the City Council passed Resolution No. 18-03 approving the final plat for <br />SS Properties Addition. Per Section 1001.059(3), the developer shall record the plat within 90 <br />days after the date of approval, otherwise the approval of the final plat shall be considered void, <br />unless the developer requests and receives an extension from the City Council. The current 90 <br />day deadline is April 22, 2018. <br /> <br />The applicants have requested a 90 day extension to finalize details related to financing. The <br />new extended filing deadline would be July 21, 2018. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />Staff recommends approval of Resolution No. 18-37 granting a 90 day extension until July 21, <br />2018 for recording the final plat and related documents for SS Properties Addition. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS <br /> <br />1.
