<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Proclamation <br /> <br />WHEREAS, thousands of brave Minnesotans and many of our own Lino Lakes’ residents have <br />demonstrated courage and a commitment to freedom by serving in the Armed Forces of the <br />United States of America in active duty posts around the world; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, more than 40 percent of military personnel have children who are left behind <br />during deployment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, thousands of children in Minnesota have at least one parent currently serving in <br />active military; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is fitting that we recognize and honor their sacrifices, celebrate their spirit, and <br />let our men and women in uniform know that while they are taking care of us, we are taking <br />care of their children; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, when parents serve in the military, their children serve too. By recognizing <br />Military Child Month, we pay tribute to military children for their commitment, sacrifice and <br />their unconditional support for our troops; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that I, Jeff Reinert, Mayor of the City of Lino <br />Lakes, do hereby recognize the month of April as <br />MILITARY CHILD MONTH <br />and encourage all citizens of the City to join the City Council in honoring military children and <br />families. <br />IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal of the <br />City of Lino Lakes to be affixed. <br /> <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council on April 23, 2018. <br /> <br />_______________________________ <br />Jeff Reinert, Mayor
