<br /> <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 18-43 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BASE BID, AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION <br />CONTRACT, AND APPROVING THE CONSTRUCTION SERVICES CONTRACT, 2018 <br />MILL AND OVERLAY PROJECT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of the 2018 Mill and <br />Overlay Project, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids <br />were received complying with the advertisement: <br /> <br />CONTRACTOR TOTAL BID <br />TA Schifsky & Sons, Inc. $412,950.83 <br />Asphalt Surface Technologies Corp. $425,332.76 <br />Park Construction Co. $425,420.73 <br />North Valley, Inc. $436,622.39 <br />GMH Asphalt Corporation $455,555.55 <br />Northwest Asphalt, Inc. $461,931.12 <br />Knife River $486,380.54 <br />Hardrives, Inc. (Rogers) $492,408.32 <br />Midwest Asphalt Services, LLC $511,852.90 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it appears that TA Schifsky & Sons, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be in the best interests of the city to proceed with <br />the construction oversight and administration, <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes: <br /> <br />1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with TA <br />Schifsky & Sons, Inc. in the name of the City of Lino Lakes for the construction of the <br />2018 Mill and Overlay Project according to the plans and specifications approved by the <br />City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk. <br /> <br />2. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with WSB <br />and Associates, Inc., in the name of the City of Lino Lakes for the construction services of <br />the 2018 Mill and Overlay Project in the amount of $31,343.00. <br /> <br />3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidder the Bid <br />Bonds made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next <br />two lowest bidders shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br /> <br />Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 23rd day of April, 2018. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member
