<br />WS – Item 9 <br />WORK SESSION STAFF REPORT <br />Work Session Item No. 9 <br /> <br /> <br />Date: May 7, 2018 <br /> <br />To: City Council <br /> <br />From: Rick DeGardner, Public Services Director <br /> <br />Re: Park Board Recommendation of 2018 Parks and Trails Capital Projects <br /> <br /> <br />Background <br />As part of the City’s approved 2018 budget, the City Council designated $500,000 for <br />parks and trails capital projects. The City Council directed staff to seek input from the <br />Park Board for City Council consideration. <br /> <br />The Park Board had discussed this topic during their January, February, March, and April <br />Park Board meetings. The Park Board will finalize the list of recommended parks and <br />trails projects at their May meeting. Park Board Chair Pat Huelman will submit the Park <br />Board’s final recommendations to the City Council during the May 7th work session. <br /> <br /> <br />Attachments <br />Pat Huelman memo dated April 29 (Please note final recommendations may be modified <br />based on discussions during the May 7 Park Board meeting) <br /> <br /> <br />Requested Council Direction <br />City Council needs to ultimately approve list of 2018 Parks and Trails Capital Projects <br />for staff to proceed with implementation. <br />
