CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 18-62 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING LINO LAKES LIONS CLUB <br />APPLICATION FOR A 1- 4 DAY TEMPORARY ON-SALE <br />LIQUOR LICENSE APPLICATION AND EXEMPT GAMBLING PERMIT <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 340A, allows the city council to issue a temporary <br />on-sale liquor license to a non-profit organization in connection with a social event sponsored by <br />the licensee and held within the city limits; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 349, allows non-profit organizations to conduct 5 or <br />less events per calendar year; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Lino Lakes Lions Club has submitted applications for a temporary on-sale <br />liquor license and Exempt Gambling Permit; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Lino Lakes Lions Club has paid the required fee for these permits, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Alcohol & Gambling Enforcement Division and the Minnesota Gambling <br />Control Board requires that the applications be approved by the City of Lino Lakes City Council <br />before submitting for approval; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes, <br />Minnesota: <br /> <br />That the Lino Lakes City Council hereby approves the request of the Lino Lakes Lions Club for <br />a temporary on-sale liquor license to be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on September 15, <br />2018. <br /> <br />Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 14th day of May, 2018. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member <br />_____________and was duly seconded by Council Member _____________ and upon vote <br />being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />The following voted against same: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ___________________________________ <br /> Jeff Reinert, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />___________________________ <br />Julianne Bartell, City Clerk
