Pumpkin <br />Patch and Corn Maze <br /> <br /> <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br /> <br /> <br />INTRODUCTION <br /> <br />City Code Chapter 615 are the City’s regulations regarding special events. The purpose of these <br />regulations is to protect the health, safety and welfare of citizens by regulating time, place and <br />manner of conduct by establishing permit requirements. The City charges a fee of $50 for <br />special event permits. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />The City has received an application from Waldoch Farm, Inc., to hold a special event on their <br />property September 22 through October 31 daily. This is their fifth annual event. Since food is <br />involved, a condition is being attached to their permit requiring Waldoch Farm, Inc. to contact <br />Anoka County Environmental Services for approval. <br /> <br />The Public Safety Department has reviewed the application and have signed off on the permit <br />with conditions. Staff has reviewed the application and also signed off on the permit. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />Waldoch Farm, Inc.’s application for a special event permit meets the requirements of the city <br />code and has not been found to present any safety concerns with the exception that traffic from <br />the event may not exit onto Elbe Street. Therefore, staff recommends that the council approve <br />Resolution No. 18-107, Authorizing issuance of a Special Event Permit. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS <br /> <br />Resolution No. 18-107
