Park Board <br />March 6, 2024 <br />pg. 3 <br /> <br /> <br />DRAFT MINUTES <br /> <br />Mr. Gooder stated that the focus should be on the parks. <br />Mr. Huelman discussed the park and trail asset summary. <br />Mr. Kusterman discussed giving the City Council a storyline. <br />Mrs. Ballering stated that the City Council should be told what happens if we don’t <br />receive more funding for the park system. <br />Mr. Gooder discussed touching base with City Council members before the work session. <br />Mrs. Schmidt identified three high-priority parks on her list: Marshan Park, Highland <br />Meadow Park, and Behm’s Park. <br />Mr. Gooder discussed moving Marshan Park further down on the list for replacement. <br />Mr. Kusterman discussed how Wenzel Park has an older community but could turn into a <br />younger community. What happens if the park is removed? What happens to that area? <br />Mr. Huelman would like a nice park shelter at Lino Park, an update to City Hall Park, and <br />Pheasant Hills Park. <br />Mr. Gooder agrees with updating City Hall Park. <br />Mr. Kusterman would like to recommend five replacement parks to the City Council. <br />Mr. Huelman also wants to include Highland Meadows Park on the list. <br /> <br />9.
