CITY OF LINO LAKES <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 24-27 <br /> AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF GRANT AGREEMENT FOR THE 2024 PATHWAYS <br /> TO POLICING REIMBURSEMENT GRANT <br /> WHEREAS, policing agencies throughout the State of Minnesota are experiencing a low <br /> number of applicants for vacant police officer positions; and, <br /> WHEREAS,the Minnesota Department of Public Safety established grant funding to assist <br /> Minnesota agencies expand the applicant pool to fill vacant police officer positions; and, <br /> WHEREAS,the Lino Lakes Public Safety Department has police officer vacancy to fill; and, <br /> WHEREAS, in an effort to expand the police officer applicant pool the Lino Lakes Public <br /> Safety Department applied for and was awarded grant funding under the 2024 Pathways to <br /> Policing Reimbursement Grant; <br /> NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Lino Lakes, Minnesota that the <br /> Lino Lakes Public Safety Department be authorized to enter into a grant agreement with the <br /> Minnesota Department of Public Safety, for the 2024 Pathways to Policing Reimbursement Grant <br /> during the period from May 1, 2024 through March 31, 2026. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Public Safety Director of the Lino Lakes Public Safety <br /> Department is hereby authorized to execute such agreements and amendments as are necessary to <br /> implement the project on behalf of the Lino Lakes Public Safety Department and to be the fiscal agent and <br /> administer the grant. <br /> Adopted by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 8th day of April, 2024. <br /> '11-4k4Tek)'4r <br /> Ro MAW erty, Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> Jolleen Chaika, City Clerk <br />
