CITY OF LINO LAKES <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 24-38 <br /> APPROVING THE JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF <br /> SHOREVIEW, MINNESOTA FOR ROUNDABOUT CENTER LANDSCAPING <br /> AND STORM WATER SYSTEM MAINTENANCE OF THE CSAH 49 (HODGSON <br /> ROAD) AND CSAH 32 (COUNTY ROAD J) ROUNDABOUT <br /> WHEREAS, the CSAH 49 (Hodgson Rd) and CSAH 32 (County Road J) intersection is being <br /> reconstructed with a roundabout. The project is led by Anoka County in coordination <br /> with Ramsey County and the Cities of the Lino Lakes and Shoreview, and, <br /> WHEREAS, County Road J is a border road between Lino Lakes and Shoreview; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the project includes roundabout landscaping and storm sewer improvements <br /> that are the responsibility of the Cities' to maintain; and <br /> WHEREAS, the parties agree that it is in their best interest that the roundabout <br /> landscaping installation cost and maintenance costs be shared; and <br /> WHEREAS, Minn. Stat. § 471.59 authorizes political subdivisions of the state to enter <br /> into joint powers agreements for the joint exercise of powers common to each. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by The City Council of The City of Lino Lakes <br /> approves the Joint Powers Agreement with the City of Shoreview for the Roundabout <br /> Landscaping and Storm Sewer Maintenance at the CSAH 49 (Hodgson Rd) and CSAH 32 <br /> (County Road J) Roundabout. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized to execute <br /> the agreement on behalf of the City. <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 22nd day of April, 2024. <br /> .
