are currently allowed with a conditional use permit in the City’s rural, residential, LB-Limited <br />Business, and GB-General Business zoning districts. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />The Planning & Zoning Board held a public hearing on April 10, 2024. Board comments included <br />concerns about setbacks, density and buffers. Public comments included concerns that religious <br />institutions do not pay taxes and there will be an increased burden on City services. The Board <br />voted 6-0 in favor of the proposed ordinance amendment. The Board also recommended staff <br />review existing conditional use permit requirements for Public, Educational and Religious Uses. <br /> <br />Staff is requesting Council consideration of the 1st reading of Ordinance No. 04-24. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS <br /> <br />1.
