RESOLUTION NO. 24-43 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF LINO LAKES TO SUBMIT INFORMATION <br />TO THE MINNESOTA PUBLIC FACILITIES AUTHORITY (MPFA) AND TO ENTER INTO <br />A GRANT AGREEMENT WITH THE MPFA. <br />WHEREAS, under the provisions contained in Laws of Minnesota 2023 chapter 72, article 1, <br />section 23, subd. 15, $13,500,000 was appropriated to the MPFA <br />“For a grant to the city of Lino Lakes to design, engineer, construct, furnish, and equip a water <br />treatment facility, including accompanying water utility infrastructure.” <br />WHEREAS, to receive this money, the City of Lino Lakes must submit required information and <br />enter into a Grant Agreement with the MPFA, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Lino Lakes, Minnesota that the City <br />has the legal authority to apply for the grant, and the financial, technical, and managerial <br />capacity to ensure proper construction, operation and maintenance of the project for its design <br />life. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Grant Agreement shall be executed on behalf of the City of <br />Lino Lakes by the signature of its Mayor and its City Clerk. In the event of disability or <br />resignation or other absence of either such officer, the Grant Agreement may be signed by the <br />manual signature of that officer who may act on behalf of such absent or disabled officer. In <br />case either such officer whose signature shall appear on the Grant Agreement shall cease to be <br />such officer before delivery of the Grant Agreement, such signature shall nevertheless be valid <br />and sufficient for all purposes, the same as if he or she had remained in office until delivery. <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes on this 22nd day of April, 2024. <br />___________________________ <br />Rob Rafferty, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />___________________________ <br />Hannah Lynch, City Clerk <br />SEAL <br />185
