1 <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />REGULAR MEETING STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA ITEM 6E <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Diane Hankee, PE City Engineer <br />MEETING DATE: May 13, 2024 <br />TOPIC: Hodgson Road and County Road J, Streetscape Improvements <br />i.Consider Resolution 24-51, Accepting Quotes and Awarding <br />Contract, Hodgson Road and County Road J RAB <br />Landscaping <br />ii.Consider Resolution 24-52, Accepting Quotes and <br />Awarding Contract, Water Service Improvements <br />VOTE REQUIRED: Simple Majority <br />______________________________________________________________________________ <br />INTRODUCTION <br />Staff is requesting Council approval to accept quotes and award the construction contract for <br />the Hodgson Road and County Road J RAB Landscaping and Water Service Improvements. <br />BACKGROUND <br />The Hodgson Road and County Road J, Streetscape Improvements includes installation of <br />plantings and an irrigation line to the proposed roundabout, as well as a water service <br />connection to supply water to the irrigation line. The water supply is designed for future <br />service to northeast corner of the intersection where additional streetscaping is planned. This in <br />conformance with The City’s Gateway Design for the CSAH 49 (Hodgson Road) and CR J (Ash <br />Street) intersection. The City requested quotes for two projects as follows: <br />•Hodgson Road and County Road J RAB Landscaping <br />o To install plantings and an irrigation line in the roundabout <br />•Water Service Improvements <br />o To supply water to the irrigation line <br />Quotes were received on May 7, 2024 for Hodgson Road and County Road J RAB Landscaping. <br />CONTRACTOR BASE QUOTE <br />Dreamscapes Landscaping & Design $38,144.31 <br />Albrecht Enterprises, LLC $39,477.50 <br />Peterson Companies, Inc. $43,154.85 <br />109
