Park Board <br />January 3, 2024 <br />pg. 3 <br /> <br /> <br />DRAFT MINUTES <br /> <br />Mr. DeGardner discussed moving the fences from 285 feet to 210 feet and not adding a <br />field. This will eliminate any opportunities for any adult programming. <br />Mr. Kusterman made a motion to move forward with proposed changes to fields 1 <br />through 4. Mrs. Schmidt seconded. Motion carried 4 – 0. <br /> <br />8. CONTINUE PARK BOARD DISCUSSION <br />Mr. DeGardner gave a summary. The Park Board continues to gather information and <br />discuss several topics related to the development and redevelopment of the parks and <br />trails system. Please refer to last month’s minutes for additional details. <br />Mr. Huelman discussed a plan for getting in front of the City Council. <br />Mr. Kusterman discussed the approach with the City Council. <br />Mr. Huelman would like a master list of parks, trails, costs, and life expectancy. <br />Mr. Kusterman discussed including the cost per resident with the City Council. <br />Mrs. Schmidt discussed a survey to receive feedback from the community. <br />Mr. Huelman would like to receive feedback from the community. <br />Mr. Kusterman discussed having the City Council send a survey after the Park Board <br />presents its plan. <br />Mrs. Ballering inquired about using publications in our area to receive community <br />feedback. <br />Mr. Huelman likes the QR code idea located in the park system. <br />Mr. Huelman discussed the timing to get in front of the City Council. Mr. DeGardner <br />replied that budget discussions start in May or June. <br />Mrs. Ballering would like to get in front of the City Council by May. <br />Mr. Kusterman discussed starting to update the Excel worksheet before the February Park <br />Board meeting. <br /> <br />9.
