CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 24-62 <br /> <br />AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF A SPECIAL EVENT PERMIT FOR THE <br />MINNESOTA WHEELS OF HONOR FALLEN HERO VISIT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, James Woodruff, Vice Chair and Road Captain of the Minnesota Wheels of <br />Honor, has applied for a special event permit; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the event plan includes a motorcycle ride to visit the Shawn Silvera Memorial <br />located at 699 Town Center Parkway; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Public Safety Department has reviewed plans for the event; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, proof of general liability insurance has been submitted by the Minnesota <br />Wheels of Honor to cover the event; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, EMT’s travel with the group and provide first aid if necessary; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, portable toilets will be available for use by attendees; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, city staff has reviewed the Special Event Permit application and plan for the <br />event for compliance with city ordinance and regulations. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Lino Lakes, Minnesota that the <br />City Council authorizes issuance of a Special Event Permit to the Minnesota Wheels of Honor for <br />the event scheduled Saturday, June 8, 2024. <br /> <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 28th day of May, 2024. <br /> <br /> <br />___________________________ <br />Rob Rafferty, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />___________________________ <br />Hannah Lynch, City Clerk <br />58
