STAFF ORIGINATOR: Sarah Cotton, City Administrator <br />MEETING DATE: May 281 2024 <br />TOPIC: Consider Resolution No. 24-62, Authorizing the Issuance of a <br />Special Event Permit for the Minnesota Wheels of Honor Fallen <br />Hero Visit <br />VOTE REQUIRED: Simple Majority <br />INTRODUCTION <br />The Council is being asked to consider approval of Resolution <br />No. 24-62, authorizing the <br />issuance of a Special Event Permit for the Minnesota Wheels Of Honor Fallen Hero Visit. <br />BACKG RO U N D <br />James Woodruff, Vice Chair and Road Captain of the Minnesota Wheels of Honor, has applied <br />for a Special Event Permit for the Fallen Hero Visit on Saturday, June 8, 2024. <br />The applicant is proposing to honor Fallen Hero, Shawn Silvers, by organizing a motorcycle ride <br />to visit the Shawn Silvera Memorial located at 699 Town Center Parkway. <br />The application has been reviewed by staff, including the Public Safety Department.
