<br />Capital Asset and Debt Administration
<br />
<br />Capital assets. The City’s investment in capital assets for its governmental and business-
<br />type activities as of December 31, 2023, amounted to $116,119,468 (net of accumulated
<br />depreciation), an increase of $3,055,060 from the prior year. This investment in capital
<br />assets includes land, wetland credits, construction in progress, buildings, equipment,
<br />vehicles, and infrastructure.
<br />
<br />The trunk utility improvements at 49 & J, East Shadow Lake Drive Sanitary Sewer
<br />Replacement, and I35E Storm Pipe Crossing projects were completed in 2023. The City is
<br />working to complete the Lake Drive Trunk Water Main, Pheasant Run Reconstruction,
<br />Watermark Park, and Water Treatment Plant projects.
<br />
<br />Developer lead infrastructure improvements at various stages of completion include Nature’s
<br />Refuge and Watermark 4th addition. Prior to 2023, pending developer contributions were
<br />included in Construction in Progress. Starting in 2023, developer projects are only
<br />recognized as infrastructure once complete.
