1 <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />REGULAR MEETING STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA ITEM 6F <br /> <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Diane Hankee, City Engineer <br /> <br />MEETING DATE: June 10, 2024 <br /> <br />TOPIC: Consider Resolution No. 24-70, Accepting Quotes and Awarding a <br />Construction Contract, 2024 Surface Water Management Project <br /> <br />VOTE REQUIRED: Simple Majority <br />______________________________________________________________________________ <br /> <br />INTRODUCTION <br /> <br />Staff is requesting authorization to accept quotes and award the construction contract for the <br />2024 Surface Water Management Project. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />The City’s annual Surface Water Management Program (SWMP) addresses areas in need of <br />maintenance, and conforms to the City’s Surface Water Pollution and Prevention Plan. For the <br />2024 SWMP the City will replace 2 permeable paver bays on the 7500 Block of Village Drive. <br />There was an alternate to include a 3rd paver bay replacement however that is not being <br />recommended at this time and will be considered with a future project. <br />Quotes for the project were received on May 31, 2024 and are outlined below: <br /> <br />The engineers estimate for the project was $131,031.00 for the base quote and $63,936 for <br />alternate 1.
