CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 24-72 <br /> <br />AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF A SPECIAL EVENT PERMIT FOR THE BELIEVET™ <br />CANINE SERVICE PARTNERS ANNUAL FUNRAISING RIDE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Michael Schwartz, American Legion Riders Post 566, has applied for a special <br />event permit; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the event plan includes a fundraising ride to benefit Believet™ Canine Service <br />Partners; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Public Safety Department has reviewed plans for the event; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, proof of general liability insurance has been submitted by the American Legion <br />Riders Post 566 to cover the event; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, American Legion staff will be present to control parking and registration and <br />a paramedic is on staff to provide first aid if necessary; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, American Legion facility restrooms will be available for use by attendees; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, city staff has reviewed the Special Event Permit application and plan for the <br />event for compliance with city ordinance and regulations. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Lino Lakes, Minnesota that the <br />City Council authorizes issuance of a Special Event Permit for the Believet™ Canine Service <br />Partners Annual Fundraising Ride scheduled Saturday, June 15, 2024. <br /> <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 10th day of June, 2024. <br /> <br /> <br />___________________________ <br />Rob Rafferty, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />___________________________ <br />Hannah Lynch, City Clerk <br />41
