1 <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />REGULAR MEETING STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA ITEM 1H <br /> <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Sarah Cotton, City Administrator <br /> <br />MEETING DATE: June 10, 2024 <br /> <br />TOPIC: Tobacco License Renewal Applications <br /> <br />VOTE REQUIRED: Simple Majority <br />______________________________________________________________________________ <br /> <br />INTRODUCTION <br />The Council is being asked to consider Resolution No. 24-74, Approving Tobacco License <br />Renewal Applications. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br />Existing tobacco licenses in the City of Lino Lakes will expire on June 30, 2024. The following <br />establishments have submitted renewal applications: <br /> <br />Name of Business <br />AK Smoke Zone <br />Bill's Superette <br />Casey's General Store #3935 <br />Chomonix Golf Course <br />Corner Express <br />Eagle Liquor <br />G-Will Liquors <br />Holiday Station Store #2746376 <br />JP's Liquor Wine & Beer <br />Kwik Trip #1266 <br />Lakes 1 Stop <br />Lino Lakes Quick Stop <br />Lino Lakes Tobacco 1 <br /> <br />City Code requires that all renewal applicants submit to a background investigation by the Lino <br />Lakes Public Safety Department. Applicants are also required to provide a Certificate of <br />Compliance with MN Workers’ Compensation Law, as well as pay applicable fees. <br /> <br />46
