1 <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />REGULAR MEETING STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA ITEM 6C <br /> <br /> <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Diane Hankee, City Engineer <br /> <br />MEETING DATE: July 8, 2024 <br /> <br />TOPIC: PUBLIC HEARING: Consider 1st Reading of Ordinance No. 10-24, <br />Vacating Drainage & Utility Easement, Outlot C, Watermark 5th <br />Addition <br /> <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 4/5 <br />_____________________________________________________________________________ <br /> <br />INTRODUCTION <br /> <br />Staff is requesting City Council consideration of the 1st Reading of Ordinance No. 10-24, <br />vacating drainage and utility easement, Outlot C, Watermark 5th Addition. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />Outlot C, Watermark 5th Addition has a drainage and utility easement over as it encompasses <br />a wetland, stormwater management, and is part of the City’s greenway system. The outlot is <br />owned by US Home LLC (aka Lennar Corporation). With the platting of Watermark 7th Addition <br />there was small portion of the drainage and utility easement that changed. The Watermark 7th <br />Addition plat will dedicate a new drainage and utility easement over the outlot. This vacation <br />will only be in place upon the platting of Watermark 7th addition. <br /> <br />The Drainage and Utility Easement Vacation Description Sketch prepared by Carlson McCain <br />received on June 10, 2024 details the proposed drainage and utility area to be vacated. <br /> <br />The second reading of the ordinance is scheduled for July 22, 2024. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />Staff is recommending approval of the 1st Reading of Ordinance No. 10-24 Vacating Drainage <br />& Utility Easements, Outlot C, Watermark 5th Addition. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS <br /> <br />1.
