CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 24-120 <br />APPOINTING ELECTION JUDGES FOR THE <br />2024 GENERAL ELECTION <br />WHEREAS, the General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024; and, <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Minn. Stat. 20413.20, Election Judges shall be appointed to serve <br />in an election precinct and the appointing authority shall designate a judge serve as the Head <br />Election Judge; and, <br />WHEREAS, students ages 16 and 17 are eligible to serve as Student Election Judges; and, <br />WHEREAS, Minn. Stat. §20413.021, Subd. 2, requires that appointments be made at least <br />25 days before the election at which the judges will serve and that additional appointments may <br />be made after the 25-day mark should the need arise; and, <br />WHEREAS, the attached list of candidates are certified eligible voters and students who <br />wish to serve as Student Election Judges, Regular Election Judges and Head Judges if called to do <br />so for the 2024 General Election. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Lino Lakes, Minnesota that the <br />attached list of certified eligible voters and Student Election Judges are hereby appointed to serve <br />in the 2024 General Election if called to do so. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that should additional election judges outside of those hereby <br />appointed be needed within 25 days of the election, the City Clerk is authorized to appoint additional <br />certified and qualified Student Election Judges, Regular Election Judges and Head Judges. <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 23rd day of September, 2024. <br />Rob Rafferty, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Roberta Colotti, CIVIC, City Clerk <br />
