CITY COUNCIL <br />REGULAR MEETING STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA ITEM 6E <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Diane Hankee, City Engineer <br />MEETING DATE: October 14, 2024 <br />TOPIC: Consider Resolution Number No. 24-128, Authorize the <br />Preparation of Plans and Specs, 2025 Street Rehabilitation Project <br />VOTE REQUIRED: Simple Majority <br />INTRODUCTION <br />Staff is requesting Council authorization to prepare plans and specifications for the 2025 Street <br />Rehabilitation Project. <br />BACKGROUND <br />The 2025 Street Rehabilitation improvements are part of the City's Capital Improvement Plan <br />which is based off the City's Pavement Management Program. The Pavement Management <br />Program evaluates the condition of the roadways and provides recommendations for maintenance <br />for the City's entire network of roadways. The proposed 2025 Street Rehabilitation <br />Improvements Project includes the following: <br />Mill and Overlav (approximately 1.25 miles <br />• Coyote Trl and Ct <br />• Fawn Ln (south of Birch), Beaver Trl, and Muskrat Run <br />• E. Shadow Lake Ct, White Birch Ct, and Red Birch Ct <br />Bid Alternate <br />1. Linden Ln (0.3 miles) <br />2. Red Hawk Trl (0.1 miles) <br />3. Thin Overlay of Orange St, Eva St, Olive St, and Maple St (0.82 miles) <br />The bid alternate is part of the 2026 Street Rehabilitation project. If funding allows, the City <br />Council will consider awarding these areas in with the 2025 project. Throughout the project <br />area, gate valves will be replaced if they have not been previously repaired. <br />WSB LLC. Has submitted a proposal to complete the topographic survey, plans and <br />specifications, and provide bid documents for the 2025 Street Rehabilitation Project for a total <br />not to exceed the amount of $79,400.00. <br />
