CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 24-134 <br />APPROVING SLATER ADDITION PRELIMINARY PLAT <br />WHEREAS, the City received a land use application for Slater Addition preliminary plat <br />hereafter referred to as Development; and <br />WHEREAS, City staff completed review of the Development based on the following <br />submittals: <br />• Slater Addition plan set prepared by Plowe Engineering, Inc. and E.G. Rud & Sons, Inc. <br />dated July 31, 2024 <br />• Geotechnical Exploration Report prepared by Haugo GeoTechnical Services dated <br />August 5, 2024 <br />• Site Drainage Narrative and Calculations dated July 31, 2024 <br />• Commitment for Title Insurance prepared by Stewart Title dated July 8, 2024; and <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing was held before the Planning & Zoning Board on September <br />11, 2024 and the Board recommended approval of the preliminary plat with a 7-0 vote. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Lino Lakes, Minnesota that: <br />FINDINGS OF FACT <br />Per Section 1001.013, Premature Subdivision: <br />(1) General. Any concept plan, preliminary plat or final plat deemed premature pursuant to <br />the following criteria shall be denied by the City Council. <br />(2) Conditions for establishing a premature subdivision. A subdivision maybe deemed <br />premature should any of the following conditions not be met. <br />(a) Consistency with the Comprehensive Plan. Including any of the following: <br />1. Land use plan; <br />2. Transportation plan; <br />3. Utility (sewer and water) plans; <br />4. Local water management plan; <br />5. Capital improvement plan; and <br />6. Growth management policies, including MUSA allocation criteria. <br />Slater Addition is consistent with the goals and policies of the comprehensive plan in regards to <br />land use, housing, economic development, transportation, local water management plan, <br />sanitary sewer, water supply and parks, greenway and trails. <br />
