CITY LINO KE Request for Proposals For Architectural/Engineering Services Lino Lakes Public Works Facilities All responses are due by 4:30 PM, December 14, 2024 1. Invitation The City of Lino Lakes ("City') is requesting proposals from architects that possess qualifications to provide full A/E design and construction services for a proposed new Lino Lakes Public Works Facility. The City is seeking Firms that have an established track record of designing public works facilities. It is the City's intention to solicit proposals from Firms, evaluate their qualifications, conduct oral interviews, and negotiate a contract with the preferred Firm. It is the City's intention to also contract through a separate RFP for a Construction Manager to assist with the project development and construction process. 2. Project Description The City's main building of the Public Works Facility was constructed in 1971, with several additional cold storage sheds, salt and brine shed, and mobile office out -building added to the site since that time. The facility is served by on -site well and septic systems. An initial Site Analysis and Space Needs study was completed in 2017. The study evaluated two potential site locations including the existing facility location at 1189 Main Street and a secondary location adjacent to Fire Station No. 2, 1710 Birch Street. The study identified the need for an initial construction of 55,000 square feet with the ability to expand approximately 30,000 square feet to meet the year 2040 space needs. With the development of Water Tower No. 3 and Tower Park at the Birch Street location, the City is focusing on the existing Public Works site for the new facility. The proposed project includes construction of a Public Works Facility on approximately 10.0 acres owned by the City of Lino Lakes at 1189 Main St. The site includes an adjacent 14 acres that includes park improvements and a materials yard. The project will include a public works facility with vehicle storage, vehicle maintenance, and office space, with parking lots, Item 8, Attachment - Lino Lakes Public Works RFP 1 11/1/2024
