Lino Lakes City Council <br />Work Session <br />Minutes <br />DATE: September 23, 2024 <br />TIME STARTED: 6:00 P.M. <br />TIME ENDED: 6:26 P.M. <br />LOCATION: Council Chambers <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Rafferty, Councilmembers Cavegn, Lyden, Stoesz and Ruhland <br />MEMBERS ABSENT: None <br />Staff Members Present: City Administrator Sarah Cotton, City Clerk Roberta Colotti, Deputy <br />Public Safety Director/Fire Dan L'Allier, Community Development Director Michael Grochala, <br />Finance Director Hannah Lynch, and City Engineer Diane Hankee. <br />1. Call to Order and Roll Call <br />Mayor Rafferty called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. <br />2. Setting the Agenda: Addition or Deletion of Agenda Items <br />The agenda was adopted as presented. <br />3. Review Regular Agenda <br />The City Council reviewed the regular agenda items scheduled for this evening with <br />staff. <br />Mayor Rafferty confirmed the number of current salespeople for Everlight Solar as they <br />are requesting to add two additional salespeople this evening. <br />The Deputy Public Safety Director/Fire provided background information on the <br />assignment of a vehicle to the Paid On -Call District Chief, stating that they are provided <br />a vehicle and are expected to respond to calls from their home. <br />The Finance Director reviewed that this evening the City Council would be setting the <br />preliminary budget and levy. She noted that the levy can be reduced but not increased <br />when setting the final levy in December. She stated that the Council is required to <br />announce the Public Hearing Date. There is a levy that was scheduled for G.O. Capital <br />Note, Series 2016A, but not needed so that is recommended to be cancelled. <br />The Deputy Public Safety Director/Fire reviewed the sale of Fire Vehicle #621 scheduled <br />for approval this evening. <br />Councilmember Ruhland noted that the current price is comparable to the last offer and <br />does not include a broker's fee. <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
