The proposed development is called <br />Wilkinson Waters. <br />The City Council reviewed the plan design, proposal for private streets and associated <br />arterial street improvements, Anoka County traffic plan, multi -family building studio <br />apartment size, senior building, building height, greenspace, water and sewer access, <br />Environmental Assessment Worksheet requirements, floodplain, and 15-unit bonus <br />opportunity for development. <br />Council Consensus <br />It was the consensus of the City Council to support the overall density as discussed, <br />assuming water and sewer can be secured for the development. <br />8. Imagine 2050 Regional Plan Comments <br />The Community Development Director stated that every 10 years the Metropolitan <br />Council requires an update to the Comprehensive Plan. The next plan update is 2028. To <br />prepare for that date the Metropolitan Council has put together planning documents for <br />the review of the City. <br />The Community Development Director requested feedback from the City Council <br />regarding the proposal to move from five to four community designation titles. If <br />implemented the City of Lino Lake would move from an "Emerging Suburban Edge" to <br />"Suburban Edge" designation. <br />Council Consensus <br />It was the consensus of the City Council to support retaining five district designations as <br />that provides for better definition. <br />The Community Development Director stated that the other item for the review and <br />consideration of the City Council is the proposal to require an average of four vs. three <br />units per acre for sewered development. <br />Council Consensus <br />It was the consensus of the City Council to support the continued standard of an <br />average of three units per acre for sewered development, because the city development <br />standards have been drafted based on an average three units per acre requirement, and <br />the city would not be able to pivot to meet the new standard by the deadline, thereby <br />limiting future development. <br />9. Notices and Communications <br />Mayor stated that he was not able to attend the most recent VLAWMO meeting. <br />Councilmember Stoesz reported on the North Metro TV meeting.
