3 <br /> <br />The licensed uses fall within the following categories: <br /> <br />Cultivation. Cannabis business licensed or endorsed for cultivation would be permitted as an <br />agricultural use and would be permitted indoor and outdoor in the R – Rural district. Indoor <br />cultivation would also be considered in Industrial districts. <br /> <br />Cannabis Manufacturer. Cannabis business licensed or endorsed for cannabis manufacturer <br />would be a permitted manufacturing use in the Light Industrial and General Industrial districts. <br />Consideration should be given to whether this would be a permitted or conditional use in the <br />Business Campus district. <br /> <br />Hemp Manufacturer. Cannabis business licensed or endorsed for low-potency hemp edible <br />manufacturers permitted as a manufacturing use in the industrial districts. <br /> <br />Wholesale. Cannabis business licensed or endorsed for wholesale would be permitted as a <br />wholesale sales use in the Light and General Industrial Districts and the Business Campus <br />districts. <br /> <br />Cannabis Retail. Cannabis business licensed or endorsed for cannabis retail are permitted as <br />retail sales in the Neighborhood Business, Limited Business, and General Business, Light <br />Industrial, General Industrial and Business Campus districts. <br /> <br />Cannabis Transportation and Cannabis Delivery. Cannabis business licensed or endorsed for <br />Transportation and Deliver would be permitted as warehousing uses in the Light and General <br />Industrial Districts and the Business Campus District. <br /> <br />Timeline <br /> <br />Staff is working with the City Attorney, City Clerk, and Public Safety Department to draft the <br />necessary code amendments. We anticipate City Council consideration of the registration <br />requirements in January of 2025. Staff is tentatively planning for consideration of zoning <br />amendments by the Planning and Zoning Board, including public hearing in January. The City <br />Council would consider any proposed zoning amendment in February of 2025. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />Discussion only.
