JOINT CITY COUNCIL/ADVISORY BOARD <br />WORK SESSION STAFF REPORT <br />ITEM NO. 3 <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Michael Grochala, Community Development Director <br />WORK SESSION DATE: January 15, 2025 <br />TOPIC: Main Street Master Plan Process <br />BACKGROUND <br />Kimley Horn was retained by the City to lead the Main Street Corridor Master Plan and <br />Alternative Urban Areawide Review (AUAR) process. The planning area is defined by Sunset <br />Avenue on the west, 4t" Avenue to the east, Pine Street on the north, and Century Trail/Carl <br />Street on the south. The area encompasses approximately 980 acres. <br />The City held it first all Board and Council meeting on November 21, 2024. The first Open House <br />was held on December 4, 2024. We had a good turnout with over 80+ participants. A summary <br />of the Open House comments is located on the Resources — Mapping Northwest Main. <br />Kimley Horn representatives will be discussing meeting feedback and reviewing revised land <br />use scenarios. <br />REQUESTED DIRECTION <br />Discussion only. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />1.
