APPROVED MINUTES <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br />ADVISORY COMMITTEE <br />MINUTES <br /> <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />January 9, 2025 <br />TIME STARTED: 8:00 a.m. <br />TIME ENDED: 9:20 a.m. <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Blakely LaCroix, Patrick Kohler, Chris Spenner, <br />Nathan Vojtech, Chad Wagner <br />MEMBERS ABSENT: Andrew Cravero <br />STAFF PRESENT: Michael Grochala, Julie Whitney <br /> <br /> <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mr. Grochala called the Economic Development Advisory Committee meeting to order at <br />8:00 a.m. on January 9, 2025. <br /> <br />2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />Mr. LaCroix made a motion to approve the August 1, 2024 and October 10, 2024 meeting <br />minutes. Motion was supported by Mr. Kohler. Motion carried 5 - 0. <br /> <br />3. DISCUSSION ITEMS <br /> <br />A. 2024 Year End Development Summary <br /> <br />Mr. Grochala reviewed the 2024 Development summary for the City. There was a <br />discussion regarding future development and the water supply situation. <br /> <br />B. Residential Density Discussion <br /> <br />Mr. Grochala explained that housing density continues to be an ongoing discussion with <br />development activity in the City. The EDAC discussed residential land use requirements <br />from the Comprehensive Plan at the October 2024 meeting. The City’s 2024 Land Use <br />Plan includes 7 land use districts that can accommodate residential uses at varying <br />densities. Mr. Grochala presented examples of residential projects of varying densities. <br /> <br />The committee discussed the difference between gross density and net density and what <br />the different densities would look like as an end result. <br />
