CITY COUNCIL <br />REGULAR MEETING STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA ITEM 1C <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Roberta Colotti, CIVIC, City Clerk <br />MEETING DATE: February 24, 2025 <br />TOPIC: Resolution No. 25-24 Authorizing the Issuance of a Solicitor <br />License to Walter's Recycling & Refuse, Inc. <br />VOTE REQUIRED: Simple Majority <br />INTRODUCTION <br />The Council is being asked to Consider Resolution No. 25-24 Authorizing the Issuance of a <br />Solicitor License to Walter's Recycling & Refuse, Inc. <br />BACKGROUND <br />Walter's Recycling & Refuse, Inc, located at 2830 101s' Ave. NE, Blaine, MN has submitted a <br />solicitor's license application to the City Clerk's office. <br />The company representatives listed to work in Lino Lakes are Adam Chier and Adam Paulson. <br />They plan to travel through Lino Lakes neighborhoods, going door-to-door to offer residential <br />garbage service. The term of the license is six (6) months, effective March 1, 2025 through <br />August 31, 2025 <br />The City has received the necessary forms required to issue a Solicitor License. The Lino Lakes <br />Public Safety Department completed a background check and there are no limiting conditions. <br />Payment is pending approval of the license and will be a condition of issuance of the license. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Approval of Resolution No. 25-24 Authorizing the Issuance of a Solicitor License to Walter's <br />Recycling & Refuse, Inc. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />Resolution No. 25-24 <br />
