CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO.25-32 <br />AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF A SPECIAL EVENT PERMIT FOR <br />RAGNAR ROAD MINNESOTA 2025 <br />WHERAS, the Ragnar Relay Series will be hosting a 200-mile relay races, which starts in St. <br />Paul and ends in Duluth, MN; and, <br />WHERAS, the event plan includes a stop point for runners at Eagle Brook Church in Lino <br />Lakes on August 8, 2025; and, <br />WHEREAS, it is possible the August 8, 2025 will need to be moved in the event of <br />inclement weather and an alternative date in 2025 selected; and, <br />WHEREAS, They have reported that they do not require any city road closures as they use <br />the road shoulders and sidewalks as available; and, <br />WHEREAS, the club will be responsible for securing any necessary permits from MNDOT <br />or other road authorities; and, <br />WHEREAS, the permit applications and plan for the event will be required to be in <br />compliance with city code and regulations. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes, <br />Minnesota, that the City Council authorizes issuance of a Special Event Permit for the Ragnar Relay <br />Series for the Ragnar Road Minnesota 2025 event on August 8, 2025. An alternative date in 2025 <br />may be approved by the City Administrator in the event of inclement weather.
