FIRE DEPARTMENT’S PROPOSAL TO CITY COUNCIL <br />STAFFING RECOMMENDATIONS COST TO THE CITY -CONSULTED WITH KELLY HORN -2025 WAGES <br />▪Fire Chief (exempt) currently Dan L’Allier occupies this role <br />▪No additional budget impact <br />▪Deputy Fire Chief / Fire Marshal (exempt) promote Brian Finke into this role <br />▪An additional $30,000 per year in wages/$38,113 with benefits <br />▪Firefighter with administrative duties (40-hours per week) <br />▪Adding 1 FTE –72,800 per year/$107,138 with benefits (middle of pay scale –2,080 hrs./yr.) <br />▪3 Battalion Chiefs -1 on a shift (exempt) working 24 or 48 hour shifts (A, B & C shifts) <br />▪Adding 3 FTE -$135,000 per FTE = $405,000 per year/$571,173 with benefits (top of pay scale -exempt)
