CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO.25-63 <br />AUTHORIZING WATERSHED BASED IMPLEMENTATION FUNDING GRANT <br />AGREEMENT. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes partnered with Rice Creek Watershed District (RCWD) to <br />identify potential water quality improvements to reduce volume and sediment/nutrient loading <br />to Rice Lake in 2022. <br />WHEREAS, a feasibility study was completed for potential improvements to Shenandoah Park <br />and completed in December of 2022. The Environmental Board reviewed the study at their <br />January 25, 2023. It was recommended to pursue grant funding for future phases of the <br />potential project. <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Soil and Water Resources is offering a Watershed Based <br />Implementation Funding Grant Program. The grant program allocates funding for projects <br />within specific watershed areas to implement water quality improvements. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes was awarded $52,650 to be used for final design <br />of plans and specifications for the proposed Shenandoah Park Improvements Project. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes: <br />That the Board of Soil and Water Resources Watershed Based Implementation Funding <br />Grant is accepted, and hereby authorizes the Mayor and Clerk to execute the agreement on <br />behalf of the City. <br />Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 27th day of May, 2025. <br />• l` -C <br />Ro of rty, Mayor <br />"19S6111 <br />Roberta Colotti, CIVIC, <br />City Clerk <br />
