CITY COUNCIL <br />STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA ITEM 3.C. <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Roberta Colotti, City Clerk <br />MEETING DATE June 23, 2025 <br />AGENDA ITEM: Consider Amendment to Rules of Decorum <br />VOTE REQUIRED: Simple Majority <br />INTRODUCTION <br />The City Council is being asked to review the Rules of Decorum for possible amendment. <br />BACKGROUND <br />The Rules of Decorum are a document used to guide the City Council, staff and members of the <br />public in presenting matters before the City Council. It is requested that the Council review the <br />rules related to the presentation of messaging on signs and apparel in relation to the public <br />comment provisions. Public meeting accessibility. The process for accepting, reviewing and <br />recording of written comments. Finally, review the rules for presenting written materials (i.e. <br />handouts) provided by speakers during the public comment period. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Motion to adopt the City Council Rules of Decorum revisions. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />1.
