DESIGN YEAR (2045) SCENARIO 2 MITIGATED CAPACITY ANALYSIS <br />Based on the operational deficiencies in the unmitigated scenario, the following mitigation measures are <br />recommended for the Design Year (2045) Scenario 2 conditions: <br />• Install a roundabout at Main Street & 4th Avenue <br />• Expand Main Street to 4 lanes west of Lake Drive <br />o This includes converting all roundabouts along Main Street (at Sunset Avenue, Access C, <br />and 4th Avenue) to 2x1 roundabouts. <br />• Expand Main Street & Lake Drive roundabout to accommodate northbound left-turn traffic. <br />o The roundabout is anticipated to require two northbound entry lanes, two exit lanes on the <br />west leg, and a bypass lane for the eastbound approach. <br />Page 210 of 679
