§ 202.04 ORDER OF BUSINESS. <br /> At the hour appointed for meeting, the members shall be called to order by the Mayor, and in his or her absence by the <br />Acting Mayor, and in the absence of both, by the City Clerk. The City Clerk shall call the roll, note the absentees and <br />announce whether a quorum is present. In the absence of the City Clerk, the Mayor shall appoint a secretary pro-tem. Upon <br />the appearance of a quorum the Council shall proceed to business, which shall be conducted in the following order: <br /> (1) Call to order; <br /> (2) Roll call; <br /> (3) Pledge of allegiance; <br /> (4) Public comment; <br /> (5) Setting the agenda; <br /> (6) Presentations of petitions, memorials and demonstrations; <br /> (7) Approval of minutes of previous meetings; <br /> (8) Consent agenda; <br /> (9) Reports of city officers and motions, resolutions and reading of ordinances; <br /> (10) Unfinished business; <br /> (11) New business; <br /> (12) Notices and communications; and <br /> (13) Adjournment. <br />(Prior Code, § 202.04) <br />Page 5 of 171
