The position is open due to a former CSO being hired as a police officer <br />65 <br />for the city; there are no new budget implications. <br />66 <br />67 <br />Council Member O’Donnell moved to approve the hiring of Ms. Croteau as recommended by staff. <br />68 <br />Council Member Roeser seconded the motion. Motion carried on a unanimous voice vote. <br />69 <br />70 <br />PUBLIC SERVICES DEPARTMENT REPORT <br />71 <br />72 <br />5A) Resolution No. 13-115, Entering into a Joint Powers Agreement with Anoka County for the <br />73 <br />construction and shared use of a JointSalt Storage Facility <br />–Public Services Director DeGardner <br />74 <br />reported that staff has been working with Anoka County on development of this facility to store street <br />75 <br />salting materials. The joint powers agreement before the council sets forth the proposal to share costs <br />76 <br />for building and maintaining the facility. He reviewed the city’s involvement and recommended that <br />77 <br />the council approve the agreement. <br />78 <br />79 <br />Council Member Rafferty moved to approve Resolution No. 13-115 as presented. Council Member <br />80 <br />Stoesz seconded the motion. Motion carried on a unanimous voice vote. <br />81 <br />82 <br />5B) Resolution No. 13-116, Accepting Bids and Awarding a Contract for Salt Shed Storage <br />83 <br />Building <br />–Public Services Director DeGardner reported the results of the bid process for <br />84 <br />construction of the salt storage facility. The low bidder is Greystone Construction and he is <br />85 <br />recommending that a contract be authorized with that company as indicated in the resolution. <br />86 <br />87 <br />2 <br /> <br />
