CITY COUNCIL <br />REGULAR MEETING STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA ITEM 7A <br /> <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Diane Hankee, PE City Engineer <br /> <br />MEETING DATE: September 22, 2025 <br /> <br />TOPIC: Consider Resolution No. 25-134, Approving Payment No. 1 and <br />Final, Test Well No. 7B Grading <br /> <br />VOTE REQUIRED: Simple Majority <br />___________________________________________________________________ <br /> <br />INTRODUCTION <br /> <br />Staff is requesting Council consideration to finalize the Test Well No. 7B Grading Project. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />On June 9, 2025, the City Council passed Resolution 25-85, awarding the contract for the Test <br />Well No. 7B Grading Project to Arnt Construction Inc. in the amount of $48,520.00. During <br />construction there was a need to move an existing topsoil stockpile, include additional fill, and <br />aggregate base. The Change Order in the amount of $21,326.75 was created to address the <br />needed work in a timely manner to keep the drilling contractor on schedule. The additional <br />grading work will result in less grading work required for the future production well. The <br />grading work for the test well has been completed and restored. <br /> <br />The final contract amount is $69,846.75 for the Test Well No. 7B Grading Project. Funding for <br />the project is through the Area and Unit Trunk Fund. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />Staff is recommending approval of Resolution No. 25-128 Approving Payment No. 1 and Final, <br />Test Well No. 7B Grading Project in the amount of $69,846.75 to Arnt Construction Inc. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS <br /> <br />1.
