7 <br /> <br />STACKED CALLS AND MINUMUM SHIFT COVERAGE <br /> <br />Stacked calls refer to the amount of time a call for service remains in a pending status due to officers <br />actively handling other police incidents. These delays are often the result of high call volumes, with <br />emergency calls taking priority, and limited personnel available to respond. YTD the agency is 16.7% <br />above its two-year average for stacked call time. <br /> <br /> <br />The police department maintains a minimum of two staff members working during each shift. The <br />number of shifts staffed at a minimum level are monitored to determine the causation of stacked <br />calls.
