CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO.25-139 <br />ADOPTING THE ASSESSMENT ROLL FOR DELINQUENT UTILITY ACCOUNTS <br />WHEREAS, Pursuant to proper notice duly given as required by law, the City Council <br />has met and heard and passed upon all objections to the proposed assessments for the <br />2025 Delinquent Utility Accounts. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE ITRESOLVED bythe City Council of Lino Lakes, Minnesota as follows, <br />that: <br />1. The proposed assessment for the 2025 Delinquent Utility Accounts (Exhibit A), a copy of <br />which is attached hereto and made part hereof, is hereby accepted and shall constitute the <br />special assessment against the lands named therein the amount of $133,798.78 <br />2. Assessments shall be payable pursuant to Minnesota Statute 429.101 and 444.075 and <br />Sections 401.3, 402.14 & 404.10 of the Lino Lakes City Code in one (1) single installment <br />payable in 2026. The single installment shall include the annual principal, a delinquent <br />assessment administrative filing charge of $30.00 and shall bear interest at the rate of <br />5.00% per annum. <br />3. The City Clerk shall submit a list of the costs for services the City has incurred for unpaid <br />utility bills, as provided by law, and shall file a copy of such proposed assessment in the <br />office of the City Clerk for public inspection. <br />4. The owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of the <br />assessment to the County Auditor, pay to the City's Finance Director the whole of the <br />assessment on such property including the delinquent assessment administration charge, <br />with interest accrued to the date of the payment, except that no interest will be charged if <br />the entire assessment is paid within thirty (30) days of the adoption of this resolution, and <br />the individual may at any time thereafter, pay to the City's Finance Director the entire <br />amount of the assessment remaining unpaid, excepting the installment portion appearing <br />upon the current year's property tax statement. <br />5. The Finance Director shall forthwith transmit a certified duplicate of this assessment to the <br />County Auditor to be extended on the property tax lists of Anoka County. Such assessments <br />shall be collected and paid to the City in same manner as other municipal taxes. <br />6.
